I was used to hi cuts in other plugins, which gave me the same slope, but were too subtle and often wouldn't give me what I needed at its most extreme slope. That largely depends on the slope you choose, of course. You can literally tear through frequency bands if you're not careful and come up with a cut that sounds awful. Took me all of two minutes once I was onto how it worked, though. It's not something which you should turn the dial with huge turns, but rather subtly, or you'll get to nails-on-a-chalkboard high frequency piercing sooner rather than later. I was rather taken aback by the Air effect not being as subtle as I thought it would be at first. Or rather, just the Air module, as that was what I needed. Well, just had a first test of the Eiosis modules. If you want to get the Slate Digital Everything Bundle, which is growing exponentially in value Go to our webshop: Some other tips not in the video: Follow up a cranked Air or Earth with the FG-Blue compressors and really slam it, then use that as a mult for creating different frequency and dynamic support for tracks. What's really fun with these modules is tailoring the effect along WITH the filters as I show you in the video. I think you'll find that these modules sound quite stunning and I can tell you personally that the AIR module LIVES on my vocal mult! See the video for a tutorial on using it this way.Įarth is more subtle than air but in a musical way, because it adds weight and low end depth without sounding muddy or boomy.
